Which pest. A few ants on a trail and a house with bed bugs in three rooms are very different jobs. Bed bugs and termites involve more inspection, more preparation and often more than one visit.How far along it is. A problem found early takes less. One that has been spreading for months takes longer to find and follow up.Size and access. Square footage matters, and so does getting into the attic and crawl space. Clutter and stored items add time.The method. Bait, sealing and trapping, local treatment, heat and fumigation all take different people, gear and time.How many visits. What to ask before you agree
- What exactly is included, and what would be charged as an extra?
- Is there a charge for the inspection or for a return visit?
- If sealing or wood repair is needed, is it in this price?
- What happens if the problem comes back, and is that in writing?
- Can I see the agreement before you start?
When something seems off
Take your time if you feel pressured to sign. You can look up any company in a few minutes. The Board says it has no authority over payment disputes, so get prices and terms in writing up front.
